Our Mission :

Our mission is to provide a fair, impartial, and efficient forum for the resolution of misdemeanor offenses. We work to ensure that both defendants and victims have an opportunity to be heard and that all proceedings follow Ohio law.

What We Do

We’re Here to Help You Every Step of the Way.

Filing of Charges

Misdemeanor cases begin when charges are filed by law enforcement or a prosecutor in the appropriate Area Court.

Initial Appearance & Arraignment

Defendants are informed of the charges, advised of their rights, and asked to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or no contest.

Pretrial Proceedings

The court may schedule hearings to discuss evidence, review motions, or consider plea agreements before trial.

Trial

If the case proceeds to trial, both the prosecution and defense present evidence and question witnesses.

Judgment & Sentencing

If found guilty, the judge imposes a sentence which may include fines, probation, community service, or jail time.

Compliance & Case Closure

The court ensures all sentencing terms are fulfilled before officially closing the case.
